Those amazing points that Sephora gives their Beauty insiders for shopping now have an expiration date, because of this many customers who save their points are now rushing to spend them before they are all gone. The updated policy for the makeup store is that to keep your Beauty insider status you must spend $350 per year. Where VIB Rouge Members must spend $1,000 within the same amount of time. To maintain your points you must redeem them in the course of 18 months or they will disappear, luckily brands are always adding new collections and makeup so shoppers can buy as much as they need or want and rack up points before they are gone.
With this new policy out many have been on social media sharing how they feel about the new rule that Sephora has brought out, most are frustrated and feel like they must now use up all their points before there are no more.

Luckily Sephora cleared up on Twitter any confusion with a short response to angry customers, “Your points only expire if your account is completely inactive for 18 months. If you make a purchase, redeem points or your birthday gift once every 18 months, your points will continue to roll over!”. This means that as long as your an active customer within 18 months your points will not move.
Sorry for the confusion! Points only expire if your account has been completely inactive for 18 months.
