Kim Kardashian West is still struggling since her near death experience in Paris, and hubby Kanye West, has remained by her side the entire time. A source tells PEOPLE Kardashian West, 36, continues to focus on “getting past what happened” after having millions of dollars worth of jewelry stolen from her by masked men at the No Address Hotel on Oct. 3.
The source also informs PEOPLE that the Keeping Up with Kardashians star, “has enjoyed the much-needed hiatus from her usual whirlwind pace.” While maintaining a very low profile since the traumatic incident.
“She’s been spending so much more time with the kids, taking them to school and classes,” says the source of the star and the two children she shares with West, 39: daughter North, 3, and son Saint, 11 months.
“She’s definitely working behind the scenes — just less,” adds the source. “It’s more like she’s trying to use this time to get her ducks in order and prioritize her life.”
In good news, everything seems to be good with the reality TV star and rapper husband due to rare public appearances of her enjoying a low key night at one of his concerts.
“They seem hunky-dory,” says the source. “And Kanye isn’t rushing her back out into the public eye.”
