In a world of being a renown supermodel and also being a mom, Miranda Kerr tells Elle Canada exclusively how she maintains a healthy and positive lifestyle no matter what life throws at her.
Miranda Kerr lives a busy life. Not only is she a top model, but Kerr is showing her full potential in other projects that she is extremely passionate about, such as writing a self-help book and expanding her natural-skincare line, Kora Organics. Not to mention, she is a mother to her five-year-old son, Flynn. Amidst all of the craziness and stardom, Kerr, in many ways, is “just like us”.
While being well-known, she doesn’t let her name in the industry get in the way of her work. “I just go in there, do my thing, enjoy myself and make sure everyone else is enjoying themselves.”
Her time she has from off of the cameras is used for meditation, yoga, healthy eating and being the best mom she could be to her son. She takes those teaching moments that she learns while living her life and applies them within her professional career and in her personal life.
Maintaining a positive mindset is something that Kerr takes seriously. In her words, she has always been a very happy, positive person. She even reveals that her mother used to call her “giggling Gert” because she was always laughing. She has been through some tough times, especially when her and her ex-husband, Orlando Bloom separated. In that trialing time, she learned that “every thought you have affects your reality and only you have control of your mind.”
Kerr puts an effort to achieve a personal level of happiness by having a balanced life, physically and mentally. She clearly exuberates an attitude of gratitude in her own stepping stones and even fallbacks.
