Whether you’re rooting for the New England Patriots or Atlanta Falcons, one team that should always lose is drunk driving. Drinking on Super Bowl Sunday is pretty much a “thing”, making it rather dangerous to drive home.
As a way to combat drunk driving, Tostitos has partnered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to offer breathalyzer-inspired chip bags with Uber promo codes.
The “Party Safe” bags feature an alcohol sensor that turns red if alcohol is detected on your breath. Moreover, the bag’s UPC code can be entered into the Uber app’s “Add Promo Code” for an immediate $10 discount.
Ultimately, Tostitos’ goal is to remove 25,000 cars from the road on Superbowl Sunday.
What do you think of the new chip-technology? (No pun intended) These Twitter users definitely don’t believe that a Tostitos bag is an accurate breathalyzer, including a police department:
If you have to blow into a Tostitos bag to know if you're intoxicated, for the love of all that is holy, DO NOT DRIVE https://t.co/gnTcIIL7Oj

There is no chance a Tostitos bag is an accurate breathalyzer https://t.co/TpAaXzmhkk
