Lily Tomlin is the Recipient of SAG’s Lifetime Achievement Award

The Screen Actors Guild Honors Lily Tomlin

Jane Fonda and Dolly Parton are set to present Tomlin with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Fonda and Parton both worked on the film 9 to 5 with Tomlin. That film is recognized as a classic comedy starring all female leads. Not only was the film well received by critics, it was also a box office hit grossing over $3.9 million its opening week.

Tomlin has been an icon for female comedians who are trying to make it in Hollywood. She has garnered a high level of respect in her field thanks to her work in the comedy. She has done television shows, movies, and stand-up comedy as well.

Lily Tomlin will now be joining the ranks of others SAG Lifetime Achievement Award recipients like Katharine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Sidney Poitier, and James Earl Jones just to name a few.
