Everything that happened last night on The Tonight Show was perfection. Michelle Obama appeared on the show for her last late night appearance as the First Lady.
From ‘Thank You’ notes to Stevie Wonder, the night was filled with laughter, smiles, and a grace that Mrs. Obama brings to everything she does.
Perhaps one of the more buzz worthy moments of the night was a pre-recorded segment. Fans of Mrs. Obama were brought in to deliver Goodbye Messages to the First Lady, none knowing she was listening in the entire time. Check out the surprise that brought tears to their eyes.
During the Thank You notes segment she even wrote one for her husband and beloved President Barack Obama, “Thank you Barack for proving you’re not a lame duck, but my very own silver fox.” She ends that part with, “I’m angling for a good gift.”
The night just kept getting legendary. As Dave Chappelle and Jerry Seinfeld joined Obama and Fallon for a game of ‘Catchphrase’.
So is she done with the responsibilities she took on as FLOTUS? Of course not!
Lastly, to wrap up the night (this episode should honestly go down in history), Stevie Wonder sang a medley of ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ and ‘My Cherie Amour’ with a special twist.
Thank you for everything Mrs. Obama.
