When we think of Charlie Hunnam, we usually think of him as the sexy badass Jax Teller in his iconic role in Sons of Anarchy. But Hunnam is branching into new territory, going from our favorite motorcycle rider to royalty in his new film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. The action-adventure movie sees Hunnam in medieval time period as he takes the title role of King Arthur. Though the setting of the movie may be new for the actor, there is still some sense of familiarity in his role, as Hunnam is used to playing tough characters. Describing King Arthur, he explains
‘He’s a hustler, he’s a street kid. There’s definitely a harder edge to him than people would imagine. He’s a little bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor.’
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword follows the young Arthur growing up on the streets after the murder of his father, King Uther. Up against his uncle, who assumed the kingship following his father’s death, Arthur spends years fighting and journeying back to the throne. The action packed film sees a star-studded cast featuring Annabelle Wallis, Aidan Gillen, Eric Bana, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou and Hermione Corfield, among others. Check out the newly released teaser below to see the cast in action.
