Singer Camila Cabello has been making headlines since her less than smooth departure from popular music group Fifth Harmony. While the situation remains a murky, online he-said she-said, Cabello is set on moving forward with her life and her career. Her first independent move is a big one: the gorgeous starlet is gracing the cover of the March issue of Seventeen.
Stunning and decked out in red, the beauty appears on the cover with a genuine smile and hands on her hips, exuding confidence. Opening up in her interview with the magazine, Cabello talks why she left in the first place, how things played out, and her new goals, saying,
“Fifth Harmony wasn’t the maximum expression of me individually. My goal is to be brave and open up my soul [with my solo music]…I did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way. As sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, I will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group, I wish nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world, and true happiness.”
Though she expected backlash from fans in response to her departure, Cabello says she was overwhelmed with support from the online community. Though for two years she has attempted to stay offline, the singer read the comments and words of encouragement fans sent her way. Some of the messages left her so touched she was moved to tears, or as she put it, an “ugly cry.”
