In relation to this year’s new president and political uproar, New York Fashion Week took quite the political stance in more ways than one. At first, the CFDA were handing out pins in support of planned parenthood. Then several designers debut collections along the subject of feminism and equality for all.
Now, just as the week was wrapping up, the president’s family began to feel the wrath of disagreement. During the Phillip Plein show, Tiffany Trump caused an upset by her presence. Several fashion editors distanced themselves from her, causing her to sit by herself. Others who were sitting near her, leaned away to display the fact that they were not associating themselves.
It wasn’t until Whoopi Goldberg took it upon herself to intervene. The actress took it upon herself to sit next to the first daughter when no one else would. As a result, people took to social media to showcase how they felt about the event.
Here are a few of the highlighted ones.
I couldn't care less if #tiffanytrump was left to be mauled to death by bears tbh
