Ever since her entrance into the film industry with her lead role in Paper Towns (2015), Cara Delevingne has established herself to be a jack-of-all-trades. She models, she acts, and – according to her latest Instagram post – she writes, too. The 24-year old announced that her debut novel, entitled Mirror, Mirror, will be hitting bookstores within a year and is already available for pre-order on Amazon via a link posted in the bio of her Instagram page.

The young adult novel is being published by Anne Valentine, who won the rights to the book after a number of firms were invited to publish it. She was eager to work with Delevingne, and she told the U.K.’s Evening Standard:
“Cara is such an interesting person, she is a strong individual with amazing opinions and incredible insights into the issues that young people face today… She has an enormous following and is incredibly in touch with her followers and she wanted to write a book that dealt with issues young people face today and that was the thing that was really exciting for us.”
According to the description of the book that is currently on Amazon, the plot follows a group of friends as they navigate the tragic and unexpected death of one of their own. The summary ends with cryptic lines, “It’s a journey that will cause Red’s world to crumble, exposing the dark and dangerous truth behind the fragile surface of their existence. Nothing will ever be the same again, because once a mirror is shattered, it can’t be fixed.”
The novel was co-written by author Rowan Coleman, who released The Memory Book in 2014. It is set to be released as early as October of this year.
