America’s most loved coffee chain, Starbucks, has just revealed two new caramel creations just in time for spring. On Monday, the coffee franchise released the Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato and Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato. Starbucks quite literally changes with the seasons, which is great for us coffee lovers.
The wonderful thing about Macchiatos is that it’s a drink that can be either hot or cold. I live in Wisconsin, so spring is a very confusing time for us northerners. One day it’ll be a scorching 70 degrees outside (that’s like summer to us Wisco natives), and the next it’ll be snowing outside. So Starbucks has to be flexible with our coffee choices. Whether it’s snowing or sunny, Starbucks changes according to the weather, which is why Macchiatos are a gift from God here! Depending on the weather, anyone can get their favourite drinks either iced or toasty. The best part is, these caramelly creations will be available all season so be sure to order these while they last.
As every Starbucks lover knows, it’s all about the ingredients. The Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato contains Almondmilk, cinnamon dolce syrup, and an eye-widening dose of espresso, topped with a caramel sauce hashtag and a sprinkle of cinnamon dolce for the sake of presentation.
The Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato is mixed with coconut milk, a dash of white chocolate mocha sauce, and loaded with espresso shots. This drink will get anyone going in the morning. The coffee artwork is finished off with swirled caramel and mocha sauce, again purely for pretty points. What’s great about the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato is that the drink was first introduced last summer, but was revived as a hot drink. So, you can get the best of both coffee worlds with this Macchiato, you most certainly cannot go wrong with ordering it.
Starbucks keeps the coffee community guessing as the seasons change. I can only imagine what their summer coffee line up will be within these next few months. All I know is that each coffee line never fails to be anything less than absolutely delicious.
