Every girl soon became “Daddy’s Lil Monster” upon the release of Suicide Squad back in August. The hit villain-turn-hero movie was a huge hit and conjured up roughly $745.6 million at box offices globally. With the budget only at $175 million, clearly the film didn’t do too shabby. On Wednesday, it was released that The Legend of Tarzan screenwriter, Adam Cozad, will potentially write the script for the possible Suicide Squad sequel.
The original screenwriter for Suicide Squad, David Ayer, will not be returning to write the sequel since he is currently working on the film, Gotham City Sirens, a separate story showcasing super villain Harley Quinn played by none other than Margot Robbie.
Since the Suicide Squad movie performed well, production companies DC Entertainment, RatPac-Dune Entertainment, and Atlas Entertainment, decided the creation of a sequel would be a priority. Since negotiations are still taking place for the possible upcoming film, a release date for the sequel hasn’t been set nor have any other writers or directors been written onto the film.
Suicide Squad fans should be like a “purple Lamborghini lurking” and keep their eyes peeled for any released information on the upcoming SS sequel.
