On the most recent episode of The Late Late Show James Corden was joined by Katy Perry in the most recent installment of “Carpool Karaoke”. Perry and Corden sang some of Perry’s greatest hits such as “Firework” “Roar” and “I Kissed a Girl” and many more. The two also talked about a variety of topics from Perry’s new hair style to the inspiration of Perry’s “debut single “I Kissed a Girl” however there was one topic that was finally talked about and that was Perry’s feud with Taylor Swift.
Perry said that her conflict with Swift was about backup dancers. According to Perry, the dancers were originally her dancers but while she was on break, her dancers went to perform with Swift. Perry informed the dancers that she will be going back on record cycle in a year so in their contract they should put a 30 day contingency in their contract with Swift, if they want to join Perry again. When that time came, the dancers let Swift’s management know they were leaving, and the dancers were fired and Perry says “and I tried to talk to her [Swift] about it and she wouldn’t speak to me”. Eventually Swift wrote a song called “Bad Blood” which is supposedly about the situation. When Corden asked Perry “would it be enough to just receive a text from Taylor Swift that says, ‘the beef off the grill’?” Perry responded “yeah, 100 percent”.
Hopefully Swift will reach out to Perry and resolve this conflict that the two have been having.
