Students at Walter Reed Middle School in Hollywood had a surprise guest in their classroom.
Lady Gaga showed her support for public education when she visited the middle schoolers and served as their substitute teacher for a day. Gaga took advantage of her time with the young kids by talking to them about reaching their goals.
The 31-year-old singer asked the students to draw what they thought their futures will look like. Then they shared with the class what they would be when the grow up.
Gaga is collaborating with Staples to film a commercial about her day at the Hollywood middle school. Staples will donate $2 million to Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and DonorsChoose.org. The money will be used by schools across the country for various supplies.
The store is also serving as a sponsor for Gaga’s Joanne World Tour which will begin later this summer. Staples will be offering one student a $50,000 scholarship along with a free trip to one of Gaga’s concerts in Las Vegas.
“I want kids to love themselves fearlessly,” said Gaga. There’s no doubt that education and future of this country is important to Gaga!
