Who could’ve guessed that one of the biggest supermodels in the world with her runway-ready body, designer perfected style and beautiful entourage of supermodel friends (and sister!) has insecurities.
Bella Hadid, the September cover model of Vogue Arabia got candid about self-confidence and uncertainty. Speaking with The Guardian, Hadid admits that her strong on-camera demeanor and fierce photo shoot poses have become her go-to mainly because she doesn’t feel comfortable doing anything else. “I feel uncomfortable, sometimes, smiling in front of the camera,” she openly stated. “It actually took me until probably this year to really understand my face.”
Unfortunately for Hadid this affects how she is perceived by people, she said: “People meet me sometimes and say:
“You’re so different to what I expected. People always tell me I seem mean or intimidating on social media. But I really love engaging with new people.”
Not that Hadid is expected to smile, and a person should not be critiqued for their expressions and emotions, or lack thereof. However, we took the liberty of raking up some of our favorite smiling Hadid pictures. As much as we love the smolder, Hadid smiling is like sunshine after a rumbling storm.
