Even celebrity kids say the darnedest things!

Channing Tatum confessed to Jimmy Kimmel on his show this past Monday night that his daughter with wife Jenna Dewan Tatum, Everly, is not a huge fan of the movie that brought her parents together, Step Up.

“Within 10 seconds she was like ‘Can I watch a real movie? I don’t know like a good one,” Tatum told Kimmel. He went on to say that even though they tried to persuade her to give the movie a chance, she still refused and they ended up just putting on Moana.

Dewan Tatum, in an interview with AOL Build, also recounted the story, and added some more snippets.

“At first she didn’t think it was us,” Dewan Tatum said. “She’s like ‘That’s not you guys.’ And then she goes ‘Can we watch something good?’ Just like that.”

Even though she isn’t the biggest fan of Step Up, Tatum did reveal that his daughter enjoyed Magic Mike a little too much.

“She was there for Magic Mike, a lot of it, and now her dancing is showing that she’s seen a lot that,” Tatum continued. “She’ll go around the house and I’m like ‘I didn’t teach her that.’”

Guess this goes to show that even celebrity children at that age don’t really care what their parents did before they were born, even if it was something as magical as starring in a dance movie together and starting a Hollywood romance that is still going strong.
