Before he had ambitions about becoming the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump was set to take on the role of the free world in 2015’s Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! Yes, you read that correctly.
“The Donald said yes,” recounts David Latt, co-founder of The Asylum, the off-brand assembly line behind the Sharknado series, in the article. “He was thrilled to be asked.”
The negotiations got so serious that they had a contract written up and sent to Trump’s attorney, Michael D. Cohen. Yet, afterwards, the production team heard nothing from Trump.
After weeks of stalling, Trump’s team finally revealed that he was thinking about making the run for President, and that this wasn’t the best time. With time running out, the production team decided to offer the role to Mark Cuban in order to get the movie done on time. Apparently, this did not please Trump.

“Then we immediately heard from Trump’s lawyer,” recalls Latt in the article. “He basically said, ‘How dare you? Donald wanted to do this. We’re going to sue you! We’re going to shut the entire show down!’”
Cohen told the Hollywood Reporter he has no recollection of the angry correspondence, but regardless, this is just one more insane story about our current POTUS.
