Rap icon Eminem is coming back with a brand new project that is expected to come out this fall. After taking a long break, the rapper’s highly anticipated 9th solo album is currently in the works according to NME Magazine.
Eminem’s return shouldn’t come to no surprise since he teased in October last year that he was working on a new album. In a tweet, the rapper reassured his fans new work is underway, while also attaching a YouTube clip to “Campaign Speech,” an anti-Trump freestyle rap.
Don't worry I'm working on an album! Here's something meanwhile. https://t.co/QX3cdpqFD2

Last month, fans received an even bigger tease in the form of Allen Hughes’ The Defiant Ones, a documentary about rap icon Dr. Dre. In the film he said:
“Dre records every day. Literally, he’s in there recording songs every day. He’s like Picasso in that way. He’s always painting. Right now he’s producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem’s latest album. So Dre’s still real active in music.”
While a new album is most definitely in the works based off this evidence, the release date is still up in the air. NME Magazine reports that the release date is said to be coming from “industry insiders” from HITS Daily Double.
Aside from music, Eminem is also producing a comedy film, Bodied, which is set to come out in September. The film is about a university student who writes a controversial thesis on the rap battle scene.
Eminem is also set to headline Reading & Leeds Festivals at the end of August.
