During a recent interview with Access Hollywood, the Orange is the New Black star revealed she and Beyonce are working on a project together. Even though she didn’t say what it was Cox did announce the date of when all the deets are coming out.

“I have no idea to be perfectly honest,” Cox said during the interview when asked how did the project come about. “I’m like, does she pick out her biggest fans ever and work with her? It’s pretty amazing.”

Cox is a super fan of Beyonce and is always praising her through social media and vice versa. The two met for the first time at the Grammys earlier this year. Cox stated she always thought her first time meeting Queen Bey would be emotional, but in fact, she did not cry.

“A sense of calm comes over you when you meet the queen,” she said.

Cox is known for role in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black as Sophia Burset, a transgender woman sent to prison for credit-card fraud. She has been nominated for an Emmy, SAG and NAACP award for her OITNB role.  She has always starred in the Mindy Project, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Faking it.

She is also known as an activist for the LGBT community and a trailblazer for the transgender community. Cox has won numerous awards for her work in spreading awareness and consistently uses the hashtag #transisbeautiful in most of her posts. She even had a documentary called Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word that premiered on MTV, which won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Special Class Special.

We will have to wait until September 6th to see what the dynamic duo has in store for us, which is two days after Beyonce’s 36th birthday.
