Getting dropped off for the first time at college is momentous occasion for most people. The crowds of bright-eyed students and their happy, but nervous parents can be overwhelming for anyone, especially if you’re the President’s daughter.

Malia Obama arrived at Harvard University yesterday to crowds of students eager to meet her, and of course rub elbows with her dad, former President Barack Obama. With both her parents earning law degrees from Harvard, Obama is entering the esteemed school as part of the Class of 2021 after taking a gap year to intern with Harvey Weinstein as a script-reader.

Of course social media was in a frenzy, with fellow classmates and families of those classmates tweeting out pictures of her around campus.

Obama declined interviews politely and was seen mingling and getting to know other students, blending in as an average college student. Now while Obama can become friends with whoever she wants, most fans are hoping that she will meet and become best friends with actress/activist Yara Shahidi, who is also attending Harvard this fall.

Other famous children are heading off to college this fall as well. This includes Brooklyn Beckham, who will be attending Parson’s School of Design in New York City for photography.
