Today is the King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s, birthday and people everywhere are taking to social media to wish him a happy birthday. He would’ve been 59.
Yet, the most poignant tribute came from his daughter, Paris Jackson, who took to Instagram with two separate tributes. In her first post, she shared an old picture of her and her father kissing with a moving caption.
birthday wishes to the love of my life, the one person who showed me what passion truly was, the one that gave me solid morals to live by and how to dream. i will never feel love again the way i did with you. you are always with me and i am always with you. though i am not you, and you are not me, i know with all of my being that we are one. and our souls will never change in that way. thank you for the magic, forever and always.
In Jackson’s second post, she shared a picture of herself from Sunday night’s VMAs ceremony, with the outline of her father kissing her forehead.
Michael Jackson died in 2009 at the age of 50 due to cardiac arrest and negligent medical care.
Paris Jackson, however, continues her father’s legacy of peace and love, especially with her bold VMA speech against white supremacy and neo-Nazis.
She spoke about having “zero tolerance for their violence, their hatred, and their discrimination.”
Jackson has also taken to twitter to defend herself against haters and critics.
if you constantly talking bout how much ya love an artist who made his whole message "peace n love," maybe dont obsessively spread hate…? ????

Either way, Jackson looked stunning at the VMAs, and definitely made her father proud.
