An exclusive look at The Last Jedi is finally here.

Daisy Ridley as Rey and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker dominate the cover of this week’s split-run issue of Entertainment Weekly, which includes an exclusive look at insider photos from the movie, the return of Luke Skywalker, and the beginning of their eight installment coverage of the latest in the Star Wars Galaxy.

The first two installments delve into two new relationships that will appear in the upcoming movie. The first article looks at Rey and Luke Skywalker, who is not the legend she and fans expected.

“The fact that Luke says, ‘I only know one truth. It’s time for the Jedi to end…’ I mean, that’s a pretty amazing statement for someone who was the symbol of hope and optimism in the original films,” Hamill tells EW in his cover interview.

For Rey, this comes as a big blow because she not only lost a father figure in Han Solo, but she is also putting most of her hope into Skywalker. The actors in their interview also hinted at Skywalker knowing more about Rey than we expect, and how he is going through a lot more than we think in his isolation.

The second article looks at Finn, who after fleeing the First Order, is now also trying to flee the Resistance.

“It got really real for him,” Finn actor John Boyega tells EW. “And he just wants to get away and not be involved.”

Befriending and working with star-struck mechanic, Rose Tico, played by newcomer Kelly Marie Tran, Finn ends up not leaving and instead we see him go on a mission for the Resistance, to be better than he thinks.

Keep an eye out for the rest of the installments here, but if you’re impatient just remember what Jedi master Yoda once said:

“PATIENCE YOU MUST HAVE my young padawan.”

But if you’re really impatient, check out the teaser again!
