It seems that with every film Tom Hardy has been in, we never really get to see his face. This observation has sparked a few people across Twitter to ask why the Hollywood movie star always seems to hiding behind a mask.

Hardy’s masked performances begin with iconic role as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. In the film, the mask Hardy wears is directly administers an anesthetic in his airways that relieves him of any pain.  Little did any of us know this would set a precedent for future films.
