Jake Gyllenhaal to Get Zurich Film Festival’s Golden Icon Award

Jake Gyllenhaal will receive the Golden Icon Award for lifetime achievement at this year’s Zurich International Film Festival.

The Oscar-nominated actor will present Stronger at the Zurich fest. Gyllenhaal plays Boston marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman in the film, directed by David Gordon Green. The world premiere for Stronger is in Toronto on Friday and will screen Oct. 3 in Zurich.

Gyllenhaal has been raking in great performances ever since his breakout performance as Donnie Darko in 2001. He embraces complicated and troubled characters.
