Zayn is back with a new single — paired with an espionage-styled music video.
According to Variety, his new single, “Dusk Till Dawn,” is the first to be dropped from his latest project, 18 months after his debut album Mind of Mine was released in March 2016, and less than a year after “I Don’t Wanna To Live Forever,” his collaboration with Taylor Swift in Dec. 2016.
“Dusk Till Dawn” is a collaboration with pop-star and face-covering extraordinaire, Sia, and was co-written by the two artists along with 2017 Grammy producer of the year Greg Kurstin. While the song features their signature, powerful vocals, and the sound we’ve grown accustomed to hearing from the two singers, the music video is what really does the song justice.
The video was directed by Marc Webb, who worked on The Amazing Spiderman and 500 Days of Summer, and also stars Girls’ Jemima Kirke alongside Zayn, while Sia, unfortunately, doesn’t make an appearance. The video follows Zayn and Kirke as they out-scheme the police and other “bad guys,” and includes disguises, car chases and a police shoot out.
If this is just the beginning, fans have a lot to be excited about.
