The coaches on The Voice Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are reportedly ready to grow their family. The couple is eager to have their first child together two years into their romance, Us Weekly reported this week.
With the holidays around the corner they’ve been getting more in the spirit of growing their family. Come Christmas 2018, they’re hoping to make room for one more.
A source told the outlet that, while they “will get married one day,” they’re “hyper-focused on getting pregnant” for the time being.
Stefani, 48, already has three children — Kingston, 11, Zuma, 9, and Apollo, 3 — with ex Gavin Rossdale, and she is “incredibly hopeful” that she’ll be able to conceive with Shelton, 41.The nine-time Country Music Association Award winner are confident they’ll have a child together. “They believe there is still a chance for Gwen,” says the Shelton insider.
It’s been on Shelton’s wish list for a long time to become a dad. “Blake told Gwen he does want kids of his own,” says a Shelton source, “and Gwen was willing to try.”
Even though the couple wants a baby together, there’s been no luck yet. They first began trying for a baby last year, “starting a family has not been easy for them,” says the insider. “It’s something that they really want and it’s just not working out the way they wanted it to.” Sources say they might consider surrogate.
A source says that the struggle to have a baby together has been an emotional one, but it has also made the couple stronger.
