Taylor Swift Responds To A Police Officer Who Was Shot In Las Vegas Sunday Night

Musician Taylor Swift performs onstage during the 2017 DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night Concert at Club Nomadic on February 4, 2017 in Houston, Texas.

The country is in mourning after a gunman opened fire at a music festival in Las Vegas killing at least 58 people and injuring over 500, making this deadliest mass shooting on U.S. soil. America united together with social media posts of support and vigils held around the country to honor those who lost their lives to such a horrific act. Nevada residents lined up at the blood banks to donate blood for the hundreds of injured and celebrities used their platforms to advocate gun safety to prevent these shootings from happening again.

Taylor Swift responded with a simple message and a small act of kindness to a police officer who was shot in Las Vegas Sunday night. She first tweeted:

Later in the day, Instagram user @kimberleeb88, member of the Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Community Police Station, posted this photo. Taylor Swift had sent a floral arrangement to a LAPD officer who was shot in Las Vegas Sunday night.

Her message reads:

Talk about a class act! @taylorswift sent multiple bouquets of flowers and plants to our station, as one of our officers was shot in Las Vegas last night. This is one of the smaller arrangements. Beautiful flowers can bring a smile to anyone’s face. Much respect.🌻💐🌹🌸🌺🌷

More photos of the floral arrangements are posted on the LAPD Foothill Instagram account with a caption that reads:

“These came for you Deb from Taylor Swift. We all here at Foothill wish you a speedy recovery.”
