Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie in the newest Thor film is calling all of the Marvel ladies. Superheroes has been all about men, and Tessa thinks it’s time that it changes.
The actress is currently busy doing press for Thor: Ragnarok. When asked about the Marvel Universe, Tessa confirmed that she is dreaming up another project with an all-female cast.
However, the actress is turning this dream into a reality. As she confirmed to E!’s Zuri Hall, she walked up to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to make her case.
“Recently, I marched up with a couple of other women that work in Marvel and we went to Kevin, ‘What about a movie with some female super heroes?'” she said. “‘Like all of them?’
It’s not like this all-female Marvel film can’t happen. In fact, it’s pretty much inevitable considering Wonder Woman, from DC, did so well in the box office this summer and fans are hungry for similar type of superhero films.
At this point nothing is certain or set in stone, we’ll have to wait and see whether the pitch ultimately comes to fruition.
