When it comes to Channing Tatum, we know he’s not afraid of going out of his comfort zone and putting his acting skills to work. In Pink’s music video for her new song, “Beautiful Trama,” Tatum appears as a guest star, dancing and even doing drag.
In a Instagram post by Tatum standing face to face with singer Pink, he says, “Trying something new can be scary. Want to thank everyone who made hosting @JimmyKimmelLive possible. It definitely takes a village. Grateful to have all of these people in mine. #ICYMI”
In the music video, Pink and Tatum star as “Fred and Ginger Hart.” Fred acts bored and uninterested, while Ginger attempts to be the perfect housewife, both conveying a message of marital distress. As the music video progresses, Ginger finds Fred in her closet trying on her clothes. She becomes ecstatic and the couple engage in gender swapping and even some S&M. Towards the end of the video, they return to bed, ditching their labeled gender roles and falling asleep happily.
Not only do we get to see Tatum in a dress, but we also get to see his impressive dance moves and 1950’s inspired outfits. But this is not the first time we see Tatum dressed up as a woman-remember his “Lip Sync Battle” performance when he dressed up as Beyonce?
Earlier this week, Pink performed the song at the American Music Awards while scaling 30 stories above the city on the JW Marriot Hotel in Los Angeles. The singer also performed an emotional duet of R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts,” with Kelly Clarkson.
