Before the current creative director, Givenchy hosted other iconic designers such as John Galliano and Alexander Wang. Now after 12 years of innovative, romantic designs from Givenchy, the iconic design house says farewell to Riccardo Tisci, the creative director.
The world was not prepared when Tisci decided to step down from his position. With NYFW around the corner, it has now come into awareness that this is one of the last collections that will be led by the designer’s creative mind.
During Tisci’s time at the design house, he has managed to modernize much of the creativity as well as boost couture sales by 400%. He made the brand into an editor favorite for several fashion publications and created his own celebrity client list. The Kardashian family is of the most prominent, and Kendall Jenner has modeled in a few of his shows.
With his shocking announcement, there are already rumors spreading as to what the creative individual will take on next. According to US Magazine, Donatello Versace might be the next big move, but there is no definite lead.
There is no word yet on who will take Tisci’s place at Givenchy.
