Victoria Beckham has teamed up with Target to bring customers spring designs at an affordable price. The collection consists over 200 clothing items for both women and children.
In an interview with Target, she said that she has always wanted to design something her daughter could wear. She also said that being a mother of four she can understand the importance of form and functionality of the item. She said that children want to feel and free and comfortable.
What’s more is this is an experiment for the highly acclaimed designer. Beckham has never designed children’s wear before, and she’s releasing clothing for women in larger sizes.
Both of her original collections only go up to a size 14, so this is something has become important for her to incorporate into the collection.
Beckham said that she has been wanting to work with Target so that she may be able to sell to a wider audience. She realizes that not everyone wants to pay the designer price or can afford it. By designing for a brand that caters to affordability, she is able to include more people.
Dresses, rompers, tops and bottoms are all being sold in bright colors and prints. This collection is supposed to reflect some of her silhouettes when she first came out as a designer. They also have a modern 1950’s style in the cuts of some of her dresses and skirts.
Her collection will be available on April 9 until April 30 or until supplies last in all Target stores across the US as well as the Target website. Prices range from $6-$70, and most of the items are under $40.
