The television network Bravo recently has greenlit a scripted series on the rivalry and friendship of the two magazine editors, Anna Wintour and Tina Brown, entitled “All That Glitters”. Obviously, Meryl Streep should be casted as Wintour; any “Devil Wears Prada” lovers in here?
According to sources the six-hour series is based on the book, Newhouse by Thomas Maier. Producers of the Walking Dead and Masters of Sex, Anne Hurd and Judith Verno, among others will be collaborating for this special, along with Universal Cable Productions and Sony Pictures Television.
The series will be bringing to the forefront the true story of the rivalry we didn’t see, relationship and inevitable success of “Vogue’s” Anna Wintour and Tina Brown of “Vanity Fair” and “The New Yorker”. These two icons, in a male dominated industry, driven by fame, greed and selfishness, find their voice and a path that change their world as they know it; Tina marketing the collaboration of high-culture and celebrity and Anna with a killer-instinct for high-fashion and rising talent.
