Vogue.com made a video that shows Amy Schumer and Anna Wintour switching careers for a day.
The video begins with the two ladies discussing how easy one another’s job is. They agree to switch places.
Amy wears an ornate printed Dolce & Gabbana dress and black sunglasses as she takes over Wintour’s role as Vogue Editor-in-Chief.
She is then shown two of the same garments and asked to choose her favorite one. After Schumer asks if they are the same, the assistant replies in a snarky tone.
“I know. I just didn’t know if you knew,” Schumer replies.
Schumer then visits the comedy club, where Wintour is performing an act—but she stays true to character in her signature tweed dress and dark sunglasses. Schumer holds up her high heels, ready to admit defeat when she sees Wintour wooing the audience.
Wintour says, “Well, that’s my time, but remember, Winter is coming.”
Schumer, the ever-relatable comedienne, has made it no secret that dressing up is her least favorite part about being a celebrity.
“If I had the option to be put under, like, dental surgery instead of a fitting, I would have taken it,” she explained to Refinery29.
The video is probably the only time we will see Schumer acting as a fashion editor and the notoriously serious Wintour cracking jokes.
Wintour recently presented the CFDA icon award honoring the late Franca Sozzani (former Italian Vogue editor) at the CFDA Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday, June 5, 2017.
