We know her for her princess-like dresses and her background as a figure skater. Fashion heroine Vera Wang turns 68 today. In honor of her birthday, let’s take a look back at some of her best products and brand partnerships.
Simply Vera Vera Wang. Wang’s diffusion line for Kohl’s, launched 10 years ago was one of the first collaborations between a high-end designer and a low-price department store. You can still find Simply Vera chiffon tops, gunmetal jewelry, strappy sandals, and leather totes for under $100 at Kohl’s retailers.
White by Vera Wang for David’s Bridal. Wang has dressed some of our favorite TV brides, like Charlotte York in Sex and the City and Buffy Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so it should be no surprise that in 2011, she partnered with the mass bridal retailer for yet another diffusion line. David’s Bridal still sells the affordable, sophisticated gowns, which contain special details like organza ruffles, ornate lace trim and satin sashes.
Vera Wang LOVE. In 2012, Wang created a collection of wedding rings for popular diamond retailer, Zales. Still available today, the line features ornate sapphire and diamond-encrusted wedding rings and pendant necklaces ranging from $1000-$2000.
Simply Vera Vera Wang for FitBit. Most fashionistas believe that the classic FitBit will clash with their outfits. Wang solved this issue last year and created an edgy, yet polished version of the technology that looks more ready for the street than the gym.
