Virgil Abloh Inspired By Ikea’s Famous Shopping Bag

For sure, let’s go with Chanel or Celine bags as our favorites and even other brands getting inspired by those two but thinking outside the box is what Virgil Abloh was in for. Virgil Abloh a favorite of mine, is the Off-White designer and Kanye West’s former creative director. But in this case, he’s really getting creative. An Ikea bag? I guess we’ll trust you on this one Virgil! Make magic happen for us.

With him coming together with IKEA he will just not end with this bag, he’ll likewise be designing cost-cognizant furniture for the imaginatively minded that will be at sale at the retail giant sooner rather than later (something that Kanye West himself was once supposed to do). He likes to speak things into existence! Virgil is, obviously, centered around the young fashion gurus who are fixated on his particular rendition of street- style. There’s honestly nothing of his that I do not like and I’m speaking on behalf of the young people.

“We’re looking at that first phase of adult life, when you start making purchases for your space,” he said on stage speaking about this partnership. “Largely people grow up in their parents’ environment. They’ve never had to consider furniture. Then when they’re off on their own and have their own aesthetic, what are their first purchases? I’m interested in thinking about how those purchases are informed.” He’s definitely speaking out to me on this one! While on the verge of moving into a new space I can’t imagine what he will have in store for us! Make it a good one because you sure do have me excited!
