Zendaya is leaving her mark on the fashion world by gracing the July cover of Vogue magazine.
For her first Vogue cover shoot, the Disney Channel star appeared in a feathered knee-length Calvin Klein dress splattered with a yellow and black color pattern.
The 20-year-old actress also sported other designer outfits including Prada, Alexander McQueen, and Dolce & Gabbana.
Back in 2010, Zendaya starred in the hit Disney Channel show Shake It Up! alongside Bella Thorne. In her interview with Vogue, Zendaya talked about important decisions she has made while working on her current Disney program K.C. Undercover. During negotiations with the network, Zendaya asked to become a producer on the show, cast a family of color and have her character be trained in martial arts and “be able to do everything that a guy can do.”
Zendaya also did not feel the original title of the show, Super Awesome Katy, was appealing enough and asked for it to be changed. The Vogue model is know for her empowering posts and motivational statements for her fans on social media.
“A lot of people don’t realize their power,” Zendaya told Vogue. “I have so many friends who say yes to everything or feel like they can’t stand up for themselves in a situation…no: You have the power.”
Aside from her photoshoot, Zendaya also filmed a fashion video for Vogue. She displayed a sexy and fun attitude in front of the camera. The video features fashion and beauty styles across the decades. Some of the looks are reminiscent of ’20s style flappers, an ’80s inspired Whitney Houston look, and a classic Audrey Hepburn ’50s fashion.
