Georgia May Jagger, model and rock-royalty offspring, is known for her effortless, cool-girl style. Jagger recently added fashion designer to her repertoire, creating a collection of flowy rompers, baseball tees and sporty jackets for skate brand Volcom, which launched in June.
The sartorial maven’s latest fashion project is a collaboration with Stone Row, Volcom’s high-end older-sister brand.
A long-time skateboarder and glamour girl at heart, Jagger felt right at home partnering with Stone Row.
“I knew about Volcom when I was younger…” she said. “My life has naturally been inspired by skateboarding and music.”
Jagger’s goal was to create elevated streetwear pieces that are still feminine.
“The look is easygoing, but I don’t think that being glamorous and being a tomboy are mutually exclusive,” Jagger said in an interview with the L.A. Times.
The 17-piece collection features a powder blue fur coat, a black mesh rain jacket, a satin tracksuit and a sexy black one-piece bathing suit made of recycled fishing nets from the ocean. The clothing is available for purchase on volcom.com.
Jagger emphasized that she wants to make an impact on the fashion industry as well as the environment. She is planning a partnership between Volcom and Project 0, an ocean conservation company.
“Volcom is a big company, and they really want to make a difference,” she said. “We are doing an upcoming collaboration with Project 0 on one of the Econyl swimsuits, where all the proceeds go to them.”
Jagger is also working on an organic skincare line, which she said is two years away. Look out Stella McCartney, because there is a new boss-lady of rock-and-roll lineage in line to save the world.
