Space-Inspired Jewelry, In Time for the Eclipse

A shot from the "Unified Theory" lookbook taken by Olivia Malone in Los Angeles.

People sported special viewing glasses and watched from predetermined viewpoints as a 70-mile-wide shadow formed areas of darkness and temperatures dropped 12 degrees.

Today, the first solar eclipse in 37 years hit us on a narrow path from Oregon to South Carolina. If you missed the phenomenon, you can channel your inner space cadet with galaxy-inspired jewelry from Little Rooms, designed by Ester Delug.

Today I learned that the guy who invented the Super Soaker was also an engineer at @NASA ✨

Delug is constantly inspired by retro futurism, Victorianism and Art Deco, which she infuses into her designs. The most recent collection, which has been featured in Glamour and InStyle, is called “Unified Theory.”

It features watches, earrings and necklaces with spacey details like moons, UFO’s, telescopes, planets and satellites. All pieces are available in silver or gold and are under $200.

The collection is otherworldly, but chic. After all, you can still be “out there” without seeing outer space.
