Two things you probably never thought would go together, but Taco Bell and Forever 21 have teamed up to create a collection that will be available in the fall.
According to the press release, the clothing will be “inspired by iconic graphics that each brand is known for and set against a mix of playfully vibrant prints.” The statement also mentioned that hot sauce packets are the main source of inspiration for the collection. “Pops of color and distinctive illustrations effortlessly bring the heat” to the clothing line.”
The collection will entail tops, cropped hoodies, bodysuits, sweatshirts and an anorak jacket.
Marisa Thalberg, Chief Marketing Officer of Yum Brands’ Taco Bell Corp. said, “We’ve seen our fans get individually creative in expressing their love of Taco Bell through fashion, and we believe this collection with Forever 21 is going to be everything they expect from us extending the Taco Bell lifestyle to fashion.”
Although an unlikely pairing, fashion collaborations is nothing new for the fast-food chain. Fashion Network reported that Taco Bell has been collaborating with Hayley Elsaesser to recreate the TaCoat. “The convertible jacket features insulated utility pockets and is made up of two layers. The outer shell features an illustrated taco print on a wavy background in Taco Bell’s signature purple, while the detachable inner layer features shades of teal green and aqua,” Fashion Network reported.
The Taco Bell x Forever 21 fashion line will preview on Oct. 10 in Downtown Los Angeles’ fashion district and will be available for purchase on Oct. 11 at all Forever 21 retail stores and online at forever21.com.
