Google Unveils Most Searched Beauty Trend Of 2017

With the rise in popularity and knowledge of Korean beauty skincare routines, a significant amount of consumers are adding new habits to their traditional beauty routines: double-cleansing, charcoal and turmeric ingredients.

Google’s results from a recent beauty trend report revealed that masks are the top search item when it comes to beauty.

“Masks have been most prominent in Japan over the past five years as a sustained riser. The skincare trend was also a sustained riser in the U.S. and France, but recently took off as a rising star in both markets,” said a Google representative. “The trend has picked up quickly in the US, while user interest is beginning to decline in Japan.”

Google has also seen a rise in searches for vegan beauty products, bath bombs, cleansing, clay, aloe vera, charcoal, gold, cocoa butter and baking soda.
