McQ Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2017 collection was inspired by New Yorker, performer and a writer – Lydia Lunch. She rose to fame in New York’s 80’s-era – “No Wave” scene. The collection looked boyish and a bit “rough around the edges” with denim jackets and denim panel skirts, kilt pants, knit sweaters and leather straps. This rough look was balanced out by white lace.
There were also some references to the rabbit which became iconic for McQueen after the 2009 Spring collection, where Alexander wore a bunny costume to the show.
