Anthony Vaccarello explored many avenues with this collection for Saint Laurent, and one of the main focuses that was looked would have to be sexulization of males and females. Plunging necklines and thigh length dresses created a woman of today’s time that is proud of her body and not afraid to share it with the world. Sheer material shirts added another dimension to Vaccarello’s image of the modern man, making him more comfortable in his sexuality.
Majority of the collection stayed true with Saint Laurent’s love for black, but we did see a lot of gemstone tones and neutral tones as well. These colors successfully demonstrated a sophisticated edge that is something to be coveted by any fashion enthusiast.
A major standout in this collection would also be the footwear, particularly the women’s boots. The boots came in leather’s and suede’s that slouched around the calf, but still held the leg the way a boot should.
