Is this the real life or is this just a fantasy? Finally, Rami Malek has his band! Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello and Gwilym Lee will join Malek in the film from Fox, New Regency and GK Films.

Bryan Singer’s biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, about the We Are The Champions rock band Queen, has cast Joe Mazzello, Ben Hardy and Gwilym Lee as bandmembers. Mazzello will play bass guitarist John Deacon, Hardy will play drummer Roger Taylor and Lee will play lead guitarist Brian May.

In a clockwise direction starting from the top left picture, we’ve got Ben Hardy, Joe Mazello, Rami Malek and Gwilym Lee — your new cinematic Queen.

We have known for a while now that Mr.Robot star Rami Malek will portray legendary front man Freddie Mercury in the film, which is being produced by Graham King’s GK Films banner for 20th Century Fox and New Regency.

Taking a look at what makes each of these guys, original and theatrical, stand out from the rest:

Bass guitarist for Queen,  Deacon “Deacy,” composed several singles for the group, including Top 10 hits You’re My Best Friend, Another One Bites the Dust, and I Want to Break Free. Mazzello, who started out with the notable role of Tim Murphy in the original Jurassic Park, has built up a strong list of film credits over the years including The Social Network, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The River Wild, Shadowlands and Presumed Innocent.

Taylor who is seen as one of the most influential rock drummers of all time, also composed at least one track on every Queen album and sang vocals. Hardy was previously seen in X-Men: Apocalypse.

May, a co-founder of Queen with Mercury and Taylor, was praised for his layered guitar works through the band’s reign from the mid-1970’s to early 1990’s. Lee appeared on the TV series Jamestown and Midsomer Murders, with feature credits including The Tourist and the upcoming film The Last Witness

The production of Bohemian Rhapsody start date is scheduled for this fall. The film is locked-in for U.S. release on Dec. 25, 2018.
