According to MGM President of television production, Steve Stark, “Joël Dicker’s exquisite thriller, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair has captivated a worldwide audience with its complicated tale of love and lies. I am thrilled that this first class ensemble cast led by Patrick Dempsey and the incomparable director Jean-Jacques Annaud, get to bring provocative page-turner to life.”

The Epix 10 episode series will also feature actress Virginia Madsen and Happy Endings star Damon Wayans Jr.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dempsey explained how he would only be interested in working on a 10 episode production. “But 24 [episodes] again, I don’t know if I would do that. It’s a very hard life. It’s financially rewarding but there comes a point where how much is enough, really?” Dempsey said.

The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair is set to premiere on Epix in 2018.
