From “Wrecking Ball” to “Malibu”, the relationship between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth is the celebrity happily-ever-after we’ve been hoping for. And after the couple announced their engagement (again) in October 2016, it finally looks like a wedding is on its way.
But not anytime soon.
Although still engaged, in a recent interview with The Sun Miley said she does not “envision marriage” just yet. “I don’t envision marriage,” the “Younger Now” singer said. “I’m 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married].” After years of being together on-and-off, it seems this time around they’re taking things a lot slower.
“Three years ago, if you’d asked me if I’d be here, this happy with this man, I’d have been stunned,” Miley said. “I’m just riding this out. In some relationships, you lose yourself by being with someone else. Actually, it made me find myself more. I have no idea what the next three years will bring, but if it’s possible to get even happier, I’ll take it.”
The couple was broken up for three years, but Miley shares that she kept a private friendship with Liam and said, “I didn’t know [we’d get back together]. I’m so crazy I have no idea. But I had something in my heart, and it never felt like it was really over.”
And as it turns out, Miley’s feeling had truth to it. As far as when we will finally see her walk down the isle, we’ll just have to wait a little longer.
