Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear tropical themed runway show was a party, mixing current trends with an actual spotlight on famous millennials.
Dolce & Gabbana stays true to their aesthetic, presenting a blend of trends. Models, including Hailey Baldwin and Stella Maxwell, wore pieces featuring unique prints, gold accents, ornate heels, crowns and a twist on religious imagery.
Closing Milan Fashion Week, the Italian fashion brand endorsed Generation Z and put a literal spotlight on millennials. “Tropico Italiano” sign hung in the midst of palm trees, and dancers performed flash mob style emerging from the audience. Gearing up for the show the Italian fashion brand posted photos who would be sitting front row, famous millennials in attendance include Sofia Richie, Lucky Blue Smith, and Cameron Dallas.
Interesting prints varied from cocktails to pasta to fish. Looks including a perfect blend of current go-to trends like slide sandals, pajama shirts, slides, mesh skirts, bejeweled high waisted shorts, denim Bermuda shorts. T-shirts included a play on designer boot-legging, reading Dolce & Gabinetti.
