Rihanna Stars On The Cover Of British Vogue September Issue

Our favorite bad gal is gracing the September cover in full swing. Styled by the the publication’s Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful and photographed by Nick Knight, the cover image is a tight shot of the singer/business mogul decked out in an intricate floral headpiece.

Being that this is Enninful’s first September issue for British Vogue, the cover -it’s incredibly striking for its visual impact alone, also considering that Rihanna has become the first Black woman to front the fall fashion issue in the magazine’s history.

“I always knew it had to be Rihanna,” writes Enninful of the September cover choice in his editor letter. “A fearless music-industry icon and businesswoman, when it comes to that potent mix of fashion and celebrity, nobody does it quite like her.”

For the cover shot, Enninful outfitted Rihanna in a Prada dress and gloves, Savage X Fenty body and a floral headpiece designed by Makoto Azuma, and it’s actual flowers. Makoto also crafted several other pieces for the in-book shoot.

The magazine will be available on newsstands Friday, August 3rd.
