Valentino’s Haute Couture Collection Fall 2018

Talented designer Pierpaolo Piccioli closed out couture week with a show that won’t soon be forgotten. On Wednesday evening, the designer presented the most talked about his fall 2018 haute couture collection for Valentino. The collection was flawlessly executed, which left the house’s founder Valentino Garavani in tears, according to eyewitnesses who attended. According to the designer, the approach for this collection, he did not want to think about a theme, rather a “free approach with fabrics, embroideries, colors, etc. I wanted to go very instinctively,” he said. Drawing inspiration from a myriad of sources which range from Greek mythology, Baroque art, Ziggy Stardust was inserted into each particular piece. Model Kaia Gerber floated down the runway like a cloud wearing an airy featured gown from the collection. Each piece is worthy of a closer look. Piccolo has proved to us that he has mastered the magic of couture like a true couturier.
